Mashed Potatoes
Place the potatoes and garlic cloves in a large pot and cover with cold water by about an inch. Add a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to medium and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are very tender.
Drain the potatoes and garlic well, then return them to the pot. Add the butter and mash using a potato masher or fork until mostly smooth.
Stir in the Parmesan cheese and heavy cream, mixing until the potatoes are creamy and the ingredients are fully integrated. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
